Matei Zatreanu is the CEO of System2. He founded System2 on the belief that fundamental investing will be augmented by data-driven technology.

He previously played a leading role in the data initiative of a large global hedge fund. There, he sourced alternative data from hundreds of vendors and performed research studies across numerous sectors ranging from retail to energy to real estate.

Matei holds a BA in Mathematics, Economics, Government and Psychology from the Cornell University, as well as Master in Mathematics of Finance, Mathematics, Statistics and Finance from the Columbia University in NY.
