Marcus Hooper

Domain Expert GFT

Marcus Hooper is a management consultant in capital markets and broader financial services with a particular focus on new technologies.  He is presently retained as domain expert promoting cloud adoption and uptake of machine learning technologies in capital markets on behalf of GFT Group.  

Marcus recently lead the team who won the inaugural Schroders Distribution Datathon, bringing together capabilities from Microsoft Azure, Kortical and GFT, and generating actionable insights from machine learning models.  

Prior to this Marcus has been a front-office director of Allianz, AXA Investments and Insight Investment.  In his career he has also been a quantitative fund manager and the chief executive of a multilateral trading facility operating an advanced algorithmic optimisation system.
