Gene Ekster is the CEO of Alternative Data Group (AltDG), a company that provides SaaS solutions for automatically structuring and validating alternative data. Gene has been at the vanguard of the alternative data industry for over a decade. He has coined the term and has been innovating with, and published about Alternative Data as well as leading the Alternative Data team at Point72 Asset Management (formerly SAC Capital) and as a Director of Data Product at 1010Data and Senior Analyst at ITG (formerly Majestic Research). 

He holds a degree in Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA from Cornell University and is a CFA charter holder.
